There are actors, screenwriters, directors, producers, cinematographers, costume designers and so many more. But one subcategory that often gets overlooked is the group of people known as nerds. The word nerd has become quite a derogatory term in our society with the current meaning being someone who is awkward or socially inept. However, in the world of entertainment, it means something different: being very knowledgeable about a specific topic. Being a nerd may not be something to be proud of but it does come with some benefits - like winning an Emmy Award!
